As of this week, I'm no longer on the previous project that has occupied me extensively since October of last year. My part in it has been completed, and currently the client's in-house team are prepping everything to start building. I'm now shifting back onto the project I was previously working with my current employer.
That last sentence should tell you all you need to know about whether I received a job offer. But in case it didn't make it clear enough - no, they didn't remotely even hint at offering me a job. This was even after I came down to their location in person for the final meeting and handing in their laptop. They had ordered lunch for everyone at the facility (it was primarily a repair house for SF boats so it isn't a large influx of personnel), something they do when people are leaving. The project head I've been working under gave a talk beforehand where they discussed the work I was doing, and I received praise for my role in it. Even the office administrator who took control of the laptop when I turned it in joked about "Wow you got lunch and a speech". That praise did not result in an attempt to 'poach' me from my employer however, and that is abnormal considering my past experiences.
Could their lack of a job offer have other explanations besides the felony? Sure, but it is less likely.
While they might not want to piss off my current employer if they plan to work with them again in the future, this has a low probability. It never stopped Government sectors from poaching employees from contractor companies they regularly worked with during my time with BMT. I've even seen it with my current employer and other companies. The contract I will be returning to has another company who is the contract holder we are working under. That company directly poached someone on our team just before I went to work on this previous short-term contract. Business is business as they say, and I doubt any company is going to refuse potential work just because they've lost employees to another company in the past.
I can't account for the unknown obviously. What I do know however is this - the discovering of my felony during a background check caused a Government client to get their cortisol levels spiking. This had to be smoothed over by the company I was contracted under - the company that praised my efforts but didn't back that praise up with an attempt to hire me. A reasonable conclusion can be drawn from this.
In regards to the felony charge I would also like to point something out before closing. I was arrested on June 14th of 2006 by Michelle Dickerman's lies and fabrications. This week we have officially hit 20 years from the point at which Michelle Dickerman has dismantled my life and caused irreparable damage. I want Dickerman and her husband to think very hard on what this means going forward. On just how much they stand to lose in the future as this situation heads towards a far too long delayed reckoning.
TWENTY YEARS
So far the both of them, Michelle Dickerman especially, have continued sticking their heads in the sand while they pretend the problem will just go away on its own. How has that worked out for you so far? I'm well aware that on my end, me just wishing for it to be fixed isn't going to work. So I'm going to escalate things. I'm going to escalate a lot. I'm going to keep pushing and taking things further to the point that neither Michelle or John Dickerman can keep ignoring the situation. Especially since I will be moving forward with the tactics against Charlottesville I previously mentioned.
I'm going to get in Charlottesville's face. I'm going to force Platana's hand. This situation can either be solved with Michelle Dickerman's cooperation or without it. With her cooperation is the only option where Dickerman gets to have any say in the narrative that goes public, along with having any control in the consequences she would be facing. Without her cooperation means she has zero say in the narrative nor will she have any control of what happens to her future.
If I have to do this myself it'll be far too late by that point for her. Any finger pointing at Platania by Dickerman won't hold any water once a criminal investigation into her crimes takes place. If Platania decided to take legal action against Dickerman first, she could even go as far as attempting to MeToo him and it won't help her. Nobody will take her word against the prosecutor if she's already facing an investigation and charges. People will just see any accusations from her as an act of desperation on Dickerman's part.
Michelle Dickerman can either come clean and right her wrongs to the greatest extent possible first, or she can do the legal equivalent of 'biting the curb' and waiting for her head to get stomped in. The woman I've previously discussed in other posts, who came forward on her false testimony that got a man sentenced to 40 years, received a pathetic slap on the wrist by comparison to the harm she actually inflicted. Because the State has a reason to encourage false witnesses to come forward, and thus they don't tend to stomp on someone who comes forward. This happened in Virginia, more specifically in the hometown of both Dickerman and myself. But this 'slap on the wrist' was only after the woman came forward on her own. She also waited four years before she was pushed by someone to fess up - she didn't wait 20 years to finally take action. The fact that Michelle Dickerman has allowed this to fester for so long is something that is really going to hurt her in the future. As a lawyer Dickerman also has no ability to claim ignorance of the weight of her actions like that other woman did.
I'm not going to lie on this - as easy as it would make things for me if she came clean, I really hope she's dumb enough to keep hiding and not fixing this. Because after 20 years of this I want to shred everything she's ever cared about in life and I'm not stopping until I get it. I can either have Platania's head or Dickerman's head - we'll see which of the two of them is smart enough to snake the other. Even if both refuse, I've already made the call of where this entire thing is heading in the future anyway. I'll be discussing this further in the first of many videos I'm currently producing.
